UK Family Holiday Reviews and Ideas

It’s fair to say the weather in the UK is somewhat unpredictable. For that reason, I’ve always enjoyed my overseas holidays. But since having children, I’ve found myself doing more (and thoroughly enjoying) UK family holidays. Whether it’s family friendly holiday parks, lodges or cottage rentals, we love nothing more than exploring the UK.

We like to try and get away on a UK break as a family every couple of months. I share our honest reviews of family friendly breaks, lodges and parks right here along with photographs.

The types of holidays we typically go on in the UK vary hugely but include:

  • Large holiday parks
  • Family friendly caravan parks
  • Private holiday cottage/house/apartment rentals
  • Countryside breaks
  • Forest breaks
  • City breaks (less frequently and generally more if we are pairing a break with another commitment like a wedding or a conference)

Wherever we go, though, the main things we’re looking for from a break are family friendly features, facilities and attractions. With a toddler in town and small baby too, nothing strikes fear into me more than being holed up in a single tiny hotel room. So we rarely stay in hotels as families.

Whenever we do go somewhere though, we’ll share an honest review and summary of our experience right here.
