Oasis Lodges, Ledbury – A Fab Few Days Away

It’s holidays in the UK (mostly) for us this year. While I love a hot beach overseas somewhere, my husband isn’t a fan of beach holidays abroad and we’ve decided to do a few short stays across the UK.

On Monday, we headed off to Oasis Lodges, Ledbury, for a stay. We booked the Dragonfly Lodge for a break with some of my husband’s family. It was a 4 night stay. Here’s our review of Oasis Lodges, Ledbury.

Oasis Lodges, Ledbury – Review

Here are a few snaps from our 4 night break in May 2016:

We arrived slightly earlier than advertised 4pm check in time. But the lodge was ready. On arrival at Oasis Lodges, we were greeted by one of the owners, Roland, who showed us around our lodge, showed us how to use the hot tub and told us where all the facilities on the site were. He was helpful in pointing one of our party to nearby fishing ponds and advising us on things to see and do in the area.

The Dragonfly Lodge is a two storey lodge with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a big living room and a good sized kitchen diner. The lodge is absolutely stunning.

There are only 3 lodges for hire (plus a 4th that the owners live in) on the site. A further 2 are under construction on the site, though we heard no noise from construction on the site.

The Site and Facilities

We had the park to ourselves for the week, with the other 2 lodges on site both empty. There’s plenty of space. Our son is 15 months old and we were happy letting him run around the park supervised by one of us.

The driveway leading up to the park is quiet too. After check in day, it is closed and pin code accessed, so it’s quiet and there’s no traffic.

Each lodge has a private hot tub. And on the Oasis Lodges park itself there’s a stunning Biotop Natural Swimming Pool, infrared sauna, games room with gym equipment, snooker table and ping pong table, swings and a small play castle for the kids.

The swimming pool was absolutely spectacular. Now, in the middle of May, it was a little bit on the chilly side, but I was certainly able to adjust after a few minutes. And it’s so refreshing! No chlorine!

The Lodge

The facilities in the lodge are absolutely lovely. Big comfy beds, plenty of space, two bathrooms and a really well equipped kitchen. We loved our stay at Oasis Lodges.

A review isn’t complete without a bit of constructive criticism, is it? But there was nothing I disliked. If I would have changed anything, I’d have put a bath in one of the bathrooms (rather than just shower cubicles) but that’s only because it would have been easier with the little one.

On the whole, great lodges, wonderful site and really welcoming, hospitable owners. We’ll definitely be going back to Oasis Lodges.
