Mission Out, Leeds – Our Honest Review

Mission Out in Leeds promised an outdoor day packed full of adventure. So at the start of the summer holidays I took my eldest two sons and a friend each off for a day in the sun. Here’s how it went.

The summer holidays actually came with some pretty decent weather this year. So I made the most of it and did loads of outdoor active stuff with the kids. One of the first of the holidays was a visit to Mission Out near Leeds – conveniently located right off the M62.

I took my 10 year old, his best friend, my 8 year and his best friend to Mission Out in late July 2025 and here’s our review.

Mission Out – What You Need to Know

What is it?It’s essentially a large outdoor adventure playground but with raft riding, high ropes and an obstacle course as opposed to just your usual run of the mill playground stuff.
Price£11.95 per child over 6. £8.85 per adult for an all day pass.
Extra Costs£5 for the high ropes. Bargain I think
Food and Drink OptionsReally decent on site café and I thought the prices were reasonable
The Best BitsSo much to do and all in a relatively small space, so with older children you can let them do stuff without hovering over them
The Worst BitsNone. We loved it. I imagine it could get really busy at times but it was ok when we went and that was on a sunny school holiday day

On arrival, it was a swift and easy check in and we were able to add on 2 x high ropes sessions for the older two boys.

There was so much to do in here.

Obstacle Course

This runs from the entry office up to the main area – so they’re already active and doing something fun from the moment you’re checked in.

Pillow Jump Tower

pillow jump tower

3 different heights to choose from on the pillow tower which was a hit with all 4 of the boys I took!

High Ropes

At £5 additional fee, I think the High Ropes is incredible value for money – particularly when you compare it to something like Go Ape. And it was a cracking course. The two eldest both went on and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Rafting

The rafting was a lot of fun for the kids (and maybe this grown up too). This was my 8 year old’s favourite activity.

Other Activities

Axe throwing, slides, massive swings, adventure golf and a playground area are amongst the other activities. So you can easily keep the kids busy for a while.

How was it?

The kids had a phenomenal time and, in my opinion, this represented really decent value for a day out. We were there 4 hours and only left because we had to be somehere. The kids would have happily stayed at Mission Out much longer.

I love how easily accessible it is too – right off the motorway. And no parking wars. The car park is plentiful.

Food and drink options were great too. And in all, this felt like a cracking way to spend a day with the kids.

We’ll definitely be back.
