first day of school

The First Morning of School

Oliver started school today.

School.

Like proper school. The 9 – 3:15, 5 days a week event he’ll know for the next 14 years of his life and I’m still not quite sure how it happened.

I mean, he was a 5 lb 9 baby (who wouldn’t sleep for love nor money) 2 minutes ago.

But it was absolutely fine. Oliver was a little delight, all excited and without a moment’s reluctance. And I did not cry, hold him back or sneak him into my arms and run away with him.

Now just the small matter of fitting in school runs and pick ups around running that business, eh?
